This month, we’re celebrating Charity Boyle of Tampa, Florida — a shining example of perseverance, positivity, and heart! Charty is being awarded the “Heart of Strength” Award!
How did you hear about Forever FIT?
I was introduced to Forever FIT through my company, Metrohm USA, which hosted a Mission FIT Possible challenge. It was an 8-week wellness program that began the week of February 10, 2025, and ran through April 3, 2025. Lauren was the fitness instructor for the group. I was honored to win 1st place in Fitness Testing and received an Honorable Mention for attending the most exercise classes!

What is your favorite class?
Zumba – I love the energy, music, and rhythm!
Tell us more about yourself:
I’m generally in good health, though I do experience recurring back issues due to scoliosis. I’ve had two back surgeries, and when I fall out of my fitness routine, I notice increased fatigue and pain. Staying active helps me manage these challenges, and a positive mindset is just as powerful as physical strength.
Professionally, I’ve been with Metrohm USA for 17 years, supporting our service engineers in the field, as well as internal and external customers. Additionally, I’m involved in providing retention quotes to help maintain service agreements and ensure the maintenance of customers’ equipment. Metrohm USA specializes in high-precision analytical instruments for chemical analysis, serving a wide range of industries with solutions in titration, ion chromatography, spectroscopy, and electrochemistry.
On a personal note, my husband, Joseph, and I have been married for nearly 28 years. We have a 26-year-old daughter proudly serving in the Air Force, and we share our home with four fur babies—two Boston Terriers and a wise old Pug who’s 14 and reminds us of Yoda.
You’re in the middle of a move, how are you staying active?
Over the past few months, my husband and I have been preparing for a big move from Florida to Delaware. It’s been a massive undertaking: staging our home, hosting open houses, and packing up 13 years’ worth of belongings. Between working full-time, caring for our dogs, and managing the move, I haven’t been able to stick to my usual exercise routine. While I haven’t used the virtual library as much as I’d hoped, I’ve done stretches on my own to help with my back pain and fatigue. Mentally, I’ve wanted to do more, but physically, it’s been tough to keep up. That being said, I’m eager to get back to feeling my best, and I know Forever FIT’s resources, whether live classes or the video library, will help me achieve this goal. I’m especially grateful for the virtual options that allow me to work out from home and even invite family to join me on this journey.
What are some other ways you stay active?
Not long ago, I had the opportunity to volunteer at Calvary Nation in Ft Myers, a local food pantry, with my sister, who’s the pastor’s wife, and the pastor is actually my brother-in-law. We had such a great time working together and helping others. Serving the community is something that truly means a great deal to me. Although I haven’t been exercising as much as I’d like lately, I’ve still been staying active in other ways, such as volunteering. It keeps me moving, keeps me grounded, and reminds me that wellness isn’t just about physical fitness. It’s also about emotional and spiritual health, and doing things that fill your heart.
